About Me

On paper, I have a couple of sets of initials after my name.  In reality, I am just a person who genuinely enjoys helping other people.  I try every day in my personal and professional life to increase people's self esteem and feelings of self worth.  I get very excited when I'm able to help someone realize and reach a higher potential than what he or she thought capable.

I enjoy working with all populations.  I have a particular passion for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and individuals with an intellectual disability.

I have been in practice since March of 2014.  I graduated from Emporia State University in 2013 with a Master's of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and a certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Prior to that, I was an in-home intensive skills provider, providing Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy to children with Autism.

I am certified in AutPlay, which is a play therapy protocol to treat ASD.  I also have advanced training in play therapy techniques.

I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. This is a protocol used to treat various issues, mainly but not exclusively, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  For more information on ART please visit:

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children, family and friends, reading, playing with my dogs, and occasionally blogging.
